A New Home Transition
Kelly and her family were transitioning to a larger home in their Boston suburb. Their current furniture collection was relatively new and in good condition, and they had the opportunity to purchase some of the furnishing from the previous owner of their new home. They asked for help in placing furniture, making sure the old worked with the new — as well as sourcing new rugs, all new window treatments, and new throw pillows. The home is an updated historic Victorian, so demanded a level of formality in certain spaces but in the everyday family rooms Kelly wanted plenty of sunlight accessible through windows and textile colors that brightened the existing furnishings.
