I’m Katy, and my first design job was for my grandmother: it was the mid-80s, and in the tiny pecan-shaded bungalow in south Mississippi, 12-year old me could envision it all — including the grass paper walls. And while my education & career road was a bit winding (a semester in architecture school, two degrees in graphic design, and 15 years as a print designer), it eventually led me back to those first inclinations toward interior spaces.

My first philosophy for interiors is that the best design decisions in a home are made only by understanding the people who live there. My second philosophy is that smart design decisions can be made at any investment level. Good design isn’t about wiping the slate clean and buying all-new furniture; rather it’s about understanding the challenges of a room, keeping what works, and making the most of the investment level of the client.

I love to work with every type of client, in any style: from those who opt only for a consultation and take the rest from there, to those who want full redesigns with curated selections. The common thread is my intention for your space to be uniquely about you.
